We are excited to announce that Lenzie Academy PTA have organised for the very first time a MasterChef Demo Night to be held on Friday 14th March at 7pm at Lenzie Academy. Hosted by Gary Maclean, multi Award Winning Chef, Winner of MasterChef the Professionals, it will be such a fun night with Live Cooking Demonstrations, Raffle, Games, Auction, Bingo & much, much more.

• At the end of the night we will be Auctioning a “Demo & Dine Experience” with Gary at his house for 4 people
• We will also be Auctioning the food that Gary creates on the night for you to enjoy while the demonstrations continue
• And you can win a Voucher for Gary’s Restaurant, Creel Caught by Gary Maclean, as 1 of the many
  prizes in our Raffle (buy tickets below)
• The live demonstrations will be on a big screen & are interactive so you can ask questions as Gary cooks
• Recipes will be also available to take away after the event so you can try them at home
• Please bring cash & coins for Auction, Games & Raffle.

Our fundraising target for this school year is £10,000. All money raised by the PTA goes directly to
the school, buying a huge range of resources & experiences to enhance our children’s education at
school across every year group and every department. So please help us reach our target by buying
your ticket for the MasterChef Demo Night online now.

We’ll be holding a raffle and drawing it during the evening. The star prize is a voucher for Gary’s very own restaurant Creel Caught by Gary Maclean. Other prizes include Gary’s own cookbook, vouchers for the Golden Pheasant, Taste Indian Cuisine, Lenzie Golf Club, Paul’s Fine Foods, and much more. If you would like to purchase tickets in advance then you can do so via the Peoples Fundraising web site linked to below (where you can also see a full list of prizes). Alternatively, you can buy tickets on the night of the Masterchef Demo night itself. Any prize winners who purchased online will be contacted directly after the event.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Lenzie Academy PTA’s Quiz Night held in November 2024. It was an amazing night and a fantastic turnout. This is the first time we have ever sold out a PTA event. We hope you all had fun.

We raised an amazing £2380 altogether!!!

Hello and a warm welcome back to all the to all the Children, Mums, Dads, Grans, Grandpas, Friends & Staff at Lenzie Academy. A very special hello to all the new children & parents of the school from Lenzie Academy PTA. Hope you all had a great summer.

Who The PTA Are, What We Do, How Much We Raised & What We Bought

Lenzie Academy PTA are a very small & friendly group of parents & teachers who work hard organising fundraising events to raise much needed funds for all our children at Lenzie Academy. All the money raised from these events go directly to the school, enhancing our children’s education at school across every year group and every department.

We had yet another brilliant year, last year, with lots of fun events. We held a Quiz Night, a Sponsored Santa Dash, a Race Night, 2 Online Raffles and a Doughnut sale. We also raised money by being rewarded a Co-op Local Community Cause, by people joining The 500 Club & by using Easyfundraising when shopping online. Last school year we have raised a staggering £11,915 altogether!!!

With this fantastic amount of money raised we bought a huge range of resources :

• Science Equipment & Laboratory on Wheels for the Chemistry Department – £1950

That equates to a grand total of £11,812.47 spent last year alone!

With continuing budget cuts, the PTA & our fundraising is becoming more & more important. As you can see from the list of items above, as well as fun items such as trips & experiences, we are now being requested to purchase resources which are essential for pupils’ education.

Hopefully, with your help, we will be able to buy even more great resources this year.

How can you help?

• Contact us and commit to joining the PTA members in the 2024/25 school year and help us with fundraising activities. You choose how little or much time you give. We meet monthly at the school and agree how to raise and spend funds. First meeting will be on the 5th September 2024 at 6:30pm at Lenzie Academy Wellbing Hub

• Raffle & Tombola Donations – Every so often we request raffle prizes to be donated to help raise funds. The kids can either drop them in to the PI room or adults can drop them in to the school office. Outside of school terms please contact us if you have anything you’d like to donate.

During the 2024/25 school year you can support us in the following ways :

• Buy Raffle Tickets – We organize online raffles making it is even easier for you to win some fantastic prizes as well as help raise money for our school.
• Buy Doughnuts – Doughnut Day is organized at the end of the school year. We sell Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as a wee treat for everyone but also as a final fundraiser. Boxes of Doughnuts can be pre ordered online but we also sell individual doughnuts to the pupils in school. They are delicious!
• Join the PTA – We really do need your help. We only have 5 parents who regularly attend meetings and help at events. All help no matter how big or small, and whether it’s for one event or all of them, is always appreciated.
