Join us on Friday 20th November from 7pm until late at Lenzie Golf Club for Lenzie Academy PTA’s Quiz Night and help raise funds to support pupils at Lenzie Academy. Loads of fun and great prizes to be won.

Price is £15 per person, which includes food. Teams can be any size up to a maximum of 6 people, but don’t worry, if you don’t have a team we can help you find one on the night.

Cash prize for the winning team (value will depend on number of attendees).

Please bring cash (notes and coins) for the mini games we’ll be running on the night, as well as for the raffle that we’ll be running exclusively for quiz night attendees.

We’re limited to a maximum of 90 people only …… last year we sold out all tickets within 3 weeks so we recommend buying your tickets early to make sure you secure your place. Our fundraising target for this school year is £12,000. All money raised by the PTA goes directly to the school, buying a huge range of resources & experiences to enhance our children’s education at school across every year group and every department. So please help us reach our target by buying your Quiz Night ticket online now.

Raffle Prize Appeal

This year we will be running 2 separate raffles; an online raffle & a raffle on the night too. We will be selling the online tickets soon right up until the event & will be selling on the night raffle tickets at the Quiz Night. So, we are appealing for raffle prize donations. Can you help? For example, we are looking for vouchers, fancy foodstuffs, boxes of chocolates, biscuits, sweets, toiletries, beauty products, bottles of wine, bubbles or spirits. Or do you have any contacts with local businesses who might be able to donate a prize?

Pupils can bring in donations to the school & hand in to the Lower Office from now until Friday 20th November.

N.B. Please make sure an adult hands alcohol in to the school office or it can be brought along on the night.

The MORE donations we receive the MORE prizes can be WON & the MORE we can raise for our kids at Lenzie Academy. All donations, big or small are greatly appreciated.

The PTA – Who We Are, What We Do, How Much We Raised & What We Have Bought

The Lenzie Academy PTA is a friendly mix of parents and teachers who work hard together organising fundraising events to raise much needed money for all our children at Lenzie Academy. All the money raised from these events go directly to the school, enhancing our children’s education at school across every year group and every department.

We had yet another brilliant year, last year, with lots of fun events. We held another sold out Quiz Night, MasterChef Demo Night, 3 Doughnut Sales & 4 Online Raffles. We have also raised money by people joining The 500 Club & by using Easyfundraising when shopping online.

Because of YOU, last school we raised a BRILLIANT £12,947!!!

• Mobile Phone Pockets for mobile phone storage for the whole school for every classroom. These would allow mobile phones to be safety stored at the front of a class in each lesson avoiding pupils having them in pockets and being distracted by them. This would have a positive impact on learning and teaching and behaviour management in class. – £780
• School Show Materials for costumes, set building, High quality ultra-short-throw projector & Performance rights – £1265

Thanks to you, we were able to invest a staggering £16,618 back into Lenzie Academy last year alone.

With continuing budget cuts, the PTA & our fundraising is becoming more & more important. As you can see from the list of items above, as well as fun items such as trips & experiences, we are now being requested to purchase resources which are essential for pupils’ education.

With your help, we know we can provide even more for the pupils at Lenzie Academy this year.

How can you help?

WE NEED YOU TO HELP US. You can do this in many different ways; come along to a meeting, send in ideas, be an event helper, make a donation and come to as many of our events as possible. We will send out requests for help, events & meeting notices throughout the year. We know that you can’t help every time but if everyone helps a little bit we can make such a difference to all our children. Just do what you can.

Here are some easy ways you can support the PTA :

• Contact us and commit to joining the PTA members in the 2025/26 school year and help us with fundraising activities. You choose how little or much time you give. We meet monthly at the school and agree how to raise and spend funds. First meeting will be on the 5th September 2024 at 6:30pm at Lenzie Academy Wellbing Hub

• Join the Lenzie Lotto – Join our monthly draw with 2 cash prizes. This is our main fundraiser, where you can donate from £5 monthly and can be in with a chance to win. New applications always welcome. The more people who join, the bigger the monthly prize fund & the more we raise for all our children at Lenzie Academy. So why not ask friends and family to join too?

• When you shop online use Easy Fundraising to help us earn cash (at no cost to you) when you buy from a large number of retailers. It’s a really simple process!

During the 2024/25 school year you can support us in the following ways :

• Buy Tickets to our Fundraisers – Please come along to as many of our events as possible. We recently held a MasterChef Demo with 98 parents coming along on the night. Although this is the most people to attend a PTA event, we really need more parents to support our events to all our kids & raise much needed money for Lenzie Academy.
• Raffle & Tombola Donations – Every so often we request raffle prizes to be donated to help raise funds. The kids can either drop them in to the PI room or adults can drop them in to the school office. Outside of school terms please contact us if you have anything you’d like to donate.
• Buy Raffle Tickets – We organize online raffles making it is even easier for you to win some fantastic prizes as well as help raise money for our school.
• Buy Doughnuts – Doughnut Day is organized at the end of the school year. We sell Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as a wee treat for everyone but also as a final fundraiser. Boxes of Doughnuts can be pre ordered online but we also sell individual doughnuts to the pupils in school. They are delicious!
• Join the PTA – Could you be Number 14?
